1. Our online translation services

1.1 What is TranslatePls.com?

TranslatePls.com is an online translation agency. Our translations are undertaken by professional translators only, translating into their native language.

1.2 What types of document can you translate?

We can translate almost any type of electronic or hard copy document. Here are a few examples: MS Word®, MS Excel®, MS PowerPoint®, Quark Xpress®, Adobe Illustrator®, Adobe Indesign®, TXT, HTML, PHP, ASP, etc.

1.3 Can you translate a website?

Of course! If you like, we can even provide you with a folder containing the full copy that you can just put into your site, and you won't even need to adjust anything. If the site is dynamic, we can translate databases (e.g. Excel format) into various languages.

1 .4 Will I be able to read a document that was translated into a complex language (Asian, Arabic, Hebrew, etc.)?

Upon request, and at no extra charge, we can also provide you with a PDF copy of an MS Word document so you can see the document properly.

1.5 Can you also take care of the page layout?

For Word or Excel files, we will keep the page layout identical to the original at no extra charge. For files in page layout software such as Quark, Illustrator, or Indesign, the page layout work will be given to a professional graphic designer once the translation is done. Before we do the page layout, however, we ask the client to check the text so as to avoid having the graphic designer doing the same work over and again.

1.6 Can I get a document in Asian, Arabic, or Hebrew printed in France even if my printer doesn't support the font?

For documents formatted in Adobe Indesign or Illustrator, or Quark Express, all text is vectorized, so that won't be a problem.

2. Costs and Quotes

2.1 How much does a translation cost?

Prices vary according to number of words and the industry field of your text. You can automatically calculate the price of your text online. If you don't know how to get a word count, click here.

2.2. How can I get a free quote?

For an electronic format document (MS Word® format) you can use the online quote system. If it seems too complicated, or if you can't get a word count because your document is in hard copy, you can send us an email at quote@TranslatePls.com with your phone number, your address, as well as what language(s) you want your document translated into, and attach the document to the email. For any other question, please don't hesitate to contact us. We will respond as quickly as possible.

2.3 How do I do a word count?

-In Word: all you need to do is go into "Tools", "Word Count", and you will see "Words". Note that if there are blocks of text embedded in the document, this method will not take into account those words. If such is the case, they will need to be counted separately. This is something we can do for you. Note also that if your document contains Asian characters, you would look at the number of "Characters (no spaces)".

-In an Excel document, you must copy/paste the text into Word and then proceed as above. -In a PowerPoint document, the document must be closed. Highlight the file and right-click on it to find "Properties".

3. Timeframe

3.1 What is the timeframe for the translation of documents online? Can you handle urgent work?

This depends on how many words there are to translate. In general, you need to expect 24 hours for 1500 words. However, there are times where you may have an urgent situation with a large volume of work on a short deadline. Our team is used to handling this type of problem and will best be able to manage these situations. Please contact us.

4. Payment

4.1 How can I pay you?

You can easily pay us with:
  • *a credit card (VISA, MasterCard) on PayPal, which is currently one of the most secure and easiest payment systems available (this system is affiliated with eBay); *a cheque (French currency); *a bank transfer. Please note that the last two payment methods will delay launching of your project somewhat. When you pay us by cheque or bank transfer, it is very important that you remember to provide the project reference number.

    4.2 When must I pay you?

    Payment must be made at time of order or, with prior written approval from our Agency, within 30 days net after the date of invoice. We reserve the right to suspend delivery or completion of Projects until payment in full of invoice has been received. If payment of invoice is not made within the terms set by our Agency, and after written notification of such, you will be charged interest on the amount due, set at current legal interest rates. Our Agency may suspend delivery in the case of late payment. Collection fees incurred are your responsibility.

    5. Guarantees

    5.1 What guarantees do you offer on the quality of your translations?

    It is important to note that we work exclusively with professional translators that translate into their native language only, and in their industry field. These translators come from all over the world, which allows us to select translators that are truly specialized. If, however, you are not satisfied with a translation, we will have it re-translated at no charge until you are fully satisfied. We trust our translators who know their business.

    5.2 What guarantees do you offer on meeting deadlines?

    5.3 What is your confidentiality policy?

    TranslatePls.com will do everything in its power, within the limitations of electronic format services, to maintain the utmost confidentiality of a client's documents and personal information; they will be used for the purposes of translation only. All information provided by the client to TranslatePls.com will be treated with the utmost confidentiality.
