Translation to or from Japanese represents a significant volume of work for our agency because of Japan’s economic strength.
1- Japanese Translation: English to Japanese and French to Japanese Translations
We have acquired a network of professional English to Japanese and French to Japanese translators skilled and specialized in various fields. These translators can work in the legal, commercial, and technical fields, and can also translate patents and websites.
The cost of a translation from French is higher than one done from English. Should you have a good English translation of you document, we suggest you provide us with that text. In addition, an English document has fewer words than a French document (by about 20%), so the cost of translation will be less since price is based on number of words. Naturally, all our professional translators translate only into their native language, so you can rest assured that you will receive quality work.

3-Number of “Words” in a Japanese Document: Kanji, Katakana, Hiragana
To determine the number of source words in our quote form, just count the number of Japanese characters. Each character is either Kanji (Chinese character), Hiragana, or Katakana (used for words of Western origin).
4-DTP Service or Page Formatting in Japanese: brochures, catalogues, business cards…in Japanese
In addition to our translation service, we offer DTP page formatting of Japanese in Mac or PC for your brochures, catalogues, or business cards.
Software most commonly used: Quark Xpress, Adobe Indesign, Adobe Illustrator.
For page formatting, you will need to provide us with the original Indesign or Quark files, the corresponding fonts, and any images if you would like us to return a printable PDF for your printer. If you would rather generate your own printable Pdf, it isn’t necessary to provide us with image files, which are often quite large. Documents are vectorized, or outlined, and then put back into EPS format.
If you like, you can choose the font you would like us to use, or you may leave it up to our professional computer graphics designers to choose for you.
